9×11 in. mixed media.
Not a bad place to be stuck, doing my orange/finger/cloud/soda series…so I present my official 7th in a series. Finding inspiration can be elusive, however I have been taking loads of pictures…nature, sunsets, trees, angles in buildings and building frames for finished pieces. But my several new illustration boards cut and ready to go remain stark white…or are they winter’s last white out on the plains 🙂
We all go thru periods and I am having one now, but I blame myself. You see when i started doing art again several years ago I told myself i will finish each piece prior to starting another (I might have fudged once or twice) and I have managed to stay this course…so far. I believe my works are fresher for it and it allows me to bounce around with my ideas, which i enjoy.
At this point I am looking for my oranges, and not to eat, can you say 8th finger……..
I would think bouncing around would take the pressure off too – so you can be freer in your expression? Cool piece!
Beautiful choice of colors! Thanks for sharing and stopping by my blog.
What a great piece, love the layers and cuts in and out of scale and focus. It kept me exploring for ages 🙂
Also feeling stuck lately. I agree that photography helps motivate inspiration.
this is art and nothing short of a very dwarfing broad term used often too loosely.
You refocused its sense of…tight unique excellence
Wow…thanks
This s Great! Love the textures and it makes me want to go do more mixed media and collage work. Very inspiring!

It is only a table and arm lengths away from getting started,,,go for it…and remember, we please ourselves first…from there all is possible
Great motivational quote! And I find that mixed media/ collage works are the pieces that allow me to experiment the way I WANT and produce imagery of things I ENJOY the most. Collage is such a personal taste. Thanks again for the words!

I really like this piece.
I love the complimentary colors and the design.
