Mixed media 12×18. I have done 6 of these trees/water/leaves/reflection type pieces and still find things to do with them. I wanted a lot more of the reflective look on this one thus the moon and the squiggly lines. It made the waves/water more pronounced, I also used more green and brown shades. I have been toying with having some sort of abstract aquatic life near the surface…I promise it won’t be Nessie, but that would be a thought….
Hi Ken. May I ask what mediums you use in your work?
So far anything but oils…but mainly inks, pencil, and acrylics with a touch of tissue paper from time to time. I do rely on multiple coats of protective finishes during the process both to protect and to add to the look, it becomes another color sort of speak…water bounces off most of my finished pieces 🙂
That’s great! Sounds like you have a lot of fun doing your work. Are you selling your work anywhere?
currently just at a gallery in cookeville tennessee… http://www.galleryartalacarte.com
I really like your work, it is very unique
Thank you.
Appreciate it, thanks.
Hi Ken, I think it would be helpful is you specify in your description if painting dimensions are in inches or centimeters (WP community is international and uses different metric systems). Also, is it on paper, canvas, board, etc?
Thanks..you have a good point there. most are on heavy papers 100 lbs or better.
A cool thing has been happening the past 24 hours more than half of my views are from outside the USA…so your point is very timely
I am very glad 🙂
It’s amazing how easy communication with the whole word became now days. How did we live without Internet before?
